Last summer, the Master MIM staff, partners and students received with great sadness the news that Professor Noureddine Harrami had passed away.
For this reason, the coordinators of the master’s agreed to pay homage to this esteemed colleague and friend during the Revieew Meeting, held at the Autonomous University of Barcelona on November 29 and 30, 2018.
Prof. Emanuela Trevisan, general coordinator of Master MIM, remembered the great participation, sensibility and passion demonstrated by prof. Harrami for the projects shared during many years of partnership and highlighted his generous involvement in the educational programs and the great humanity, closeness and warmth towards colleagues and students.
In addition, prof. Trevisan launched a prize in the name of prof. Harrami awarded to the best master’s thesis dealing with migration and sociological and anthropological issues in the MENA region. This will be opened to the Erasmus Mundus students of the three intakes. Submissions will have to arrive by the end of July.
The tribute to the teacher concluded with the conference “Journalisme et migration: pour une approche méditerranéenne”, given by the Algerian journalist Leila Beratto.
