Paola Gandolfi

Paola Gandolfi is junior lecturer at University of Bergamo, where she teaches “Educational policies of the Arabic-Islamic countries of the Mediterranean” and “Transnational migrations between Maghreb and Europe”. She has taught at Ca’ Foscari University “Cultural Anthropology of the Middle East” and she has been teaching for many years “Moroccan Dialect” (in the Master MIM Programme). She has achieved anthropological researches in several Arabic countries and especially in Morocco. Her main research interests are: transnational mobility between Maghreb and Europe; cultural changes and educational issues in the Arabic countries of the Mediterranean teaching Arabic language and culture to migrants’ children at schools in Europe; cultural processes and education in contemporary Morocco, intercultural processes in migratory contexts. Her last research concerns the revolutionary processes and the contemporary artistic production in the Maghreb, especially in Tunisia and in Morocco (Gandolfi, 2012, Rivolte in atto, Mimesis, Milano). Among her many publications, Gandolfi.P., La sfida dell’educazione nel Marocco contemporaneo (2010) and Gandolfi,P.(dir), Le Maroc aujourd’hui (2006) were rewarded as original scientific products of research.
