Mathilde Chèvre

Associated Researcher at the Institute for Researches and Studies on Arab and Muslim Worlds (IREMAM, Aix-en-Provence, France), she is specialized in Arabic literature and children’s books literature. She has been teaching Arabic language and literature in Aix-Marseille University, as well as Arabic publishing history and literature at the Institute “Métiers du livre” of Aix-en-Provence. She prepared her PhD on “Arabic creation in children’s books since 1967″ considered as “a reflection of societies’ projects in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon”, which has been published in 2015 under the title “Le poussin n’est pas un chien “. She is also directing Le port a jauni, a publishing house based in Marseille that is specialized in children’s books and poetry bilingual in arabic and french languages, and she illustrated and wrote more than a title in this publishing house and others.
