Carolina Julià

Adjunct Professor at the UAB, where she teaches “Spanish for foreigners” (Faculty of Translation and Interpreting) and “Spanish Dialectology” (Faculty of Philosophy and Letters). She was also a professor at other universities (UNED: National University of Distance Education – Spain and Universiteit Antwerpen – Belgium). She completed her PhD in Spanish Linguistics from the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona (UAB) in April 2010. She has written 1 monograph (Variación léxica en los nombres de las partes del cuerpo: los dedos de la mano en las variedades hispanorrománicas, Peter Lang: Frankfurt am Main), edited 4 books, and written 9 articles and more than 25 book chapters. Her research interests are on linguistic variation, cognitive semantics, morphology and phraseology.
